A micro short film inspired by mangos, dinosaurs and cute misunderstandings. At the time, I was struggling to make decisions in my life. I was stunned by the sheer amount of options, often scared that I was waiting too long to make a choice and missing the opportunity. Sometimes all we need is a little olive-green grumpy bird to point us into the right direction!

During my internship I learnt so many things from the wonderful people at Giant Ant. One of them was my supervisor, Conor.
Luckily for me, Conor is very good at faking tactile imperfections in digital media. In one hour, he showed me all the techniques to recreate the style, procedurally, in After Effects!

I animated all the assets as vectors, and some of them I imported from the styleframe itself. These 'techniques' helped a lot, but for the final touches, Conor suggested that I import the entire animation into a cel software to add brushstrokes on the edges of some objects.

I really enjoyed this project – I learnt so many techniques I still use to this day!
