Technology is our friend who's always been there for us – helping us create core memories.

We placed 2nd out of 556 teams around the world! Woohoo!

So, how did we do it? A lot of matcha, pizza, music and joking around.
Seriously, it was such an amazing experience. I think we were all so focused on having a good time and making what WE thought was good and not what we thought the judges would like, that the whole process was extremely frictionless.
Even though the animation is not as refined as we'd like it to be, we all still loved how it turned out. It showed us how powerful collaboration is. We all divided some main roles, but at the end of the day, everyone did a little bit of everything.
There's not a lot you can do to prepare for this type of challenge, since the prompt is given to you at the start of the 24 hours - but we did have some conversations about a general schedule and what to do if we fall behind.
I never experienced something like this, but it was so fun: some people were pumping out designs and some others were animating as soon as a styleframe was finished.

a glimpse into our process

Through an story focused on personal experiences and chronological memories, we tap into the audience’s emotions - evoking a sense of longing and nostalgia.

figuring out the 'memories', chronology and scenes
our schedule, which inevitably shifted quite a bit!
